The Adventures of Cute Little Fuzzy Animals

My families recent acquisition of many cute little fuzzy things over the week of Easter has left me permanently damaged.

Seriously
.

I've never really been into cute little fuzzy animals; I'm allergic to like 80% of them. However, I always fancied myself an 'animal person'.

No more, I tell thee, no more!

See it went like this:

Sibling Number 1: Mom, my other dog died. I want a puppy now.
Mother: Ok!
Me: If it eats my shoes, you have to buy me new ones.

Sibling Number 2: All my chickens got eaten. Let's get some more!
Me: ....... NO
Mother: Ok!

Sibling Number 3: I WANT A AMINAL (yes, I intentionally misspelled that. deal.)
Mother: Ok!
Me: .. I think I can handle this, I'm nearly an adult. After all, how bad could a five and a half year combined with the responsibilities of owning an animal be? **mind explodes**

You get the picture. We ended up getting around 18 chicks, a puppy, and another rabbit for sibling number 3. Putting our count of cute little fuzzy animals (aka, shoe eaters) at:
1 puppy
1 outside cat
18 chicks
2 rabbits

About, 22 animals too many.

I was overloaded. and it just got worse.
The puppy is evil. I swear. I have taken to calling the puppy 'Piddle' for reasons pertaining to its inability to hold it in. It tries to eat my feet. I don't know about you, but I have super sensitive feet. They don't like to be touched, especially not by nasty puppy mouths.

Sibling number 3's rabbit enjoys tormenting me. Psychologically. I'm not kidding. It's supposed to be well trained, but I think under that seemingly cute and love able exterior, the evil little thing dreams of ways to murder me in my sleep. I mean, give me a break, naming a rabbit 'Poppy' pretty much cements that destiny into place. It doesn't help that Poppy also has an affinity for escaping it's cage, centrally located in our kitchen, ending up under my bed (Probably eating one of my shoes..). I just don't like it.

Everyone knows that chickens are no good. They smell and they're noisy. There's also just something creepy about the way they.. look at you... *shivers*

In the end, I find myself taking an excessive amounts of benedryl, enjoying little sleep, and praying that the coyotes will make their way into the garage to take out this freshly provided batch of chickens. Although, the extra time is good for planning out my will for when Poppy's mission is completed...

For all you animal lovers out there, I'm glad you like cute little fuzzy animals, as a matter of fact... PLEASE TAKE MINE.
